Aquatics: Swim Lessons: Youth

The Red Cross has developed swim lessons for youth that allow the opportunity to learn in a safe environment, at their own pace. Learn-to-Swim classes are taught by certified and knowledgeable instructors who can help swimmers at every level feel comfortable in the water and progress to the next level.
Parent/Child
The parent must accompany the child to each class. The purpose of the class is to familiarize children with the water and teach swim readiness skills
Ages: 6 months-3 years
Age Control Date: Age prior to the first meeting date
Resident Fee: $35
Non-Resident Fee: $35
Registration begins: November 1; registration ends on Thursday before class begins or when the class is full (whichever comes first).
Class Size: 8 maximum

January Session: Saturday (January 7, 14, 21, 28) Time: 12:00-12:30pm
February Session: Saturday (February 4, 11, 18, 25) Time: 12:00-12:30pm
March Session: Saturday (March 4, 11, 18, 25) Time: 12:00-12:30pm
Preschool
Participants will learn skills and concepts needed to stay safe in and around the water and gain basic aquatic swimming strokes.
Ages: 3-5 years

Refunds: A $25.00 administrative fee will be deducted from all refunds. No refunds will be given after the class begins. All refunds must be approved by the Cartersville Parks & Recreation Director.
